  1. This is !EdToAscii, version 1.10 (May 1991).
  2. Used to convert between EDWORD and ASCII text files.
  3. Drag the file to convert onto the icon.

  7. vers 0.91 (2nd March 1991) converts EDWORD to ASCII
  8. Recognises
  9.    1. Tab command
  10.    2. Centering
  11.  
  12. Note: these are not converted 
  13.  
  14.    1. Indented paragraphs 
  15.    2. Margins of the original since if the converted
  16.       document is to be imported into another
  17.       package they are unlikely to be the same.
  18.    3. Because of 2 Centering may be wrong (centered
  19.       on the original margins).   And it is possible
  20.       for words to be split on the righthand edge 
  21.       because I don't know where it is. The target
  22.       package should handle that.
  23.    4  Underlining since the codes differ for the 
  24.       different packages and printers.

  27. It is possible to cope with 3 (above) and define
  28. the righthand margin but I would have to insert
  29. RETURNS at that edge. Hence text would not flow
  30. between new margins in the target package.

  32. Also converts ASCII to EDWORD format

  35. 2  Blank lines and new paragraphs are recognised
