This is !EdToAscii, version 1.10 (May 1991).
Used to convert between EDWORD and ASCII text files.
Drag the file to convert onto the icon.
**************************************************
vers 0.91 (2nd March 1991) converts EDWORD to ASCII
Recognises
1. Tab command
2. Centering
Note: these are not converted
1. Indented paragraphs
2. Margins of the original since if the converted
document is to be imported into another
package they are unlikely to be the same.
3. Because of 2 Centering may be wrong (centered
on the original margins). And it is possible
for words to be split on the righthand edge
because I don't know where it is. The target
package should handle that.
4 Underlining since the codes differ for the
different packages and printers.
It is possible to cope with 3 (above) and define
the righthand margin but I would have to insert
RETURNS at that edge. Hence text would not flow
between new margins in the target package.
Also converts ASCII to EDWORD format
1 A default page layout is provided
2 Blank lines and new paragraphs are recognised
